[2018 Toulon Tournament] Team Korea defeated by Scotland of 1-2
U-19 Korea Republic National Football Team led by head coach JEONG Jeongyong lost the match with Scotland U-21 team by the score of 1-2, held at Fos-sur-Mer, France on the 2nd of June. Followed by the loss with France at the first round by 1-4 and 1-2 with Togo, it is the third consecutive loss of Team Korea in 2018 Toulon Tournament. Failing to advance to the semi-finals, Korea Republic team will finish the 2018 Toulon Tournament with the play-off of for the 5th place.
Team Korea lost their point at the beginning of the game. Billy GILMOUR of Scotland successfully made a goal through the cross made by his teammate at the left side with his right foot. Another goal was scored by Scotland in 8 minutes. Tricking Team Korea’s defenders when he got control of the ball, Oliver BURKE calmly scored additional goal.
As Team Korea kept trying to seize the chance, they finally succeeded in scoring a goal. LEE Kangin managed to make a goal at 31’ of the second half after few tries with his left foot. This made his two consecutive goals after the match with Togo.
