Nike’s Korea Republic National Team Collection introduced on March 22 includes match jerseys and other apparels.
The collection was inspired by the ‘Taegukgi’(Korean Flag) and ‘HanRyu’(Korean Wave). The home kit is consisted of a red shirt and black shorts. The black-and-white crest attached at the chest area shows the boldness of the design. Also, the ‘Crest Flight’ technology allowed the crest to be lighter and more breathable than before. The color white was used for both top and bottom of the away kit. The red-and-blue wave pattern on the shirt represents HanRyu.
The new kit is innovative not only in designs but also in functions. The ‘Dri-FIT’ technology, applied at the both sides of the shirt, allows players to keep their body temperature during the games by letting the sweats out.
Aside from match jerseys, the collection includes squad short-sleeve tops, anthem jackets, polos and crest tees. These apparels can be worn in various occasions in daily lives. Young Koreans can show their creativity by adding one of these items into their outfits.
The national team will be wearing the brand new uniform for the first time on March 24 at the match against Northern Ireland.
