‘Eom Wonsang‘s Multiple Goals’ U-18 NT defeated Indonesia and qualified as the 1st ranking in group

Korea Republic U-18 National team defeated Indonesia 4-0 in Round 2 of the preliminary league for the 2018 AFC U-19 Championship Qualifiers of Group F, which was held in Paju Stadium. Eom Wonsang scored multiple goals and remained highly active leading to Oh Sehun and Lee Jaeik scoring extra goals. Korea U-18 National Football Team completed a great victory of 11-0 against Brunei Darussala in the first Round, and made a clean sweep of the second Round with a score of 4-0, a second successive win as the 1st ranking in group. Indonesia played three games so far, and Korea has played two games.

While using 4-1-4-1 formation in the first half, Oh Sehun (Hyundai High School) played as forward, while Jeong Wooyeong (Daegeon HS), Jeon Sejin (Maetan HS), Lee Kangin (Valencia CF), and Eom Wonsang (Ajou University) were placed in the second line. Jeong Hojin (Younggong HS) played holding midfielder, while the back four consisted of Lee Gyuhyuk (Shingal HS), Lee Jaeik (Boin HS), Kim Hyunwoo (Hyundai HS), and Hwang Taehyeon (Chung-Ang University). Min Sungjun (Daegeon HS) played as the goalkeeper.

Eom Wonsang’s scored a goal during the first half, which ended with a score of 1-0. When the second half started, Korea Republic entered Cho Youngwook (Korea Univ.) as a substitute for Jeong Wooyeong. In the 58th minute, Oh Sehun scored an extra goal, and in the 61st minute Eom Wonsang scored his third goal. Thirty-two minutes after half time, Lee Jaeik (Korea Republic) scored a fourth goal, which was key to victory. It was a perfect game for Korea. Indonesia put forth a strong effort, but couldn’t get past Korea's defense. Korea didn’t lose their concentration, and ended the game flawlessly.
