U-22 National Team completely beat Macau 10-0

The U-22 National Team, temporarily led by Coach Jung Jungyong completely defeated Macau and gained 3 winning scores. Moreover, it is a victory tie record with the largest goal difference in the history of the National Team for under 23.
The U-22 National Team greatly defeated Macao 10-0 in the 1st round of the AFC U-23 Championship Qualifier which was held in the Thong Nhat Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on July 19 (Korea Time). Cho Youngwook (Korea University) put four goals alone while Park Seongbu (Soongsil University) put two goals and one goal each by Hwang Inbeom (Daejon), Doo Hyeonseok (Yonsei University), Jo Sungwook (Dankook University) and Park Jaewoo (Daejon). Victory over 10 goal differences is a victory tie record of the largest goal differences in the history of the U-23 National Team. In the past, Korea won over the Philippines 10-0 in the preliminary league of the Barcelona Olympic in 1991 and defeated the Philippines 10-0 in the preliminary league of the 2012 AFC U-22 Championship.
The National Team will have a 2nd round against Timor-Leste on July 21 and 3rd round against Vietnam on July 23. Qualifiers are held by 10 groups. Total of 16 teams will be participating in the final game which will be held in China in January next year. This includes the 1st winning team of each group in the Qualifiers and the upper five teams amongst 2nd winning teams.
Korea easily played the game against Macau which everyone played defense only. Forward Cho Youngwook recorded head trick in the 25'. Cho Youngwook, who put the first goal by header in the 10', also successfully gained a goal by right foot in the 14' and by left foot in the 24'. The first half game ended by Korea's lead 4-0 with an additional goal by Hwang Inbeom in the 29'.
Korea's offense did not stop in the second half. In the 48', Doo Hyeonseok successfully put a goal by right foot shooting while having a fierce fight in front of the goal. In addition, Park Seongbu gained a goal by penalty kick in the 53' and Cho Youngwook's sharp shoot by left foot a minute later shook the goal net. Cho Seongwook, Park Seongbu and Park Jaewoo continued to have goal parades even in the latter time of the second half and gained a great victory with 10 goal differences.
