[Cyprus Cup] Women's National Team lost to Switzerland 0-1, finish second in the tournament

Korea Women's National Team led by Yoon Deokyeo lost to Switzerland in the final and finished the tournament with the second place.
Korea lost to Switzerland 0-1 in the 2017 Cyprus Cup Final which was held in AEK Arena, Cyprus on March 9th. Korea gained 2 wins 1 tie in the group league and became the winner of Group B. Then the team advanced to the final and finished the tournament with second place which recorded as the best achievement of the team in the game.
Switzerland advanced to the final after winning the Group B and was very strong. In the second league of the group, Switzerland also defeated North Korea 1-0. South Korea well defended attacks of Switzerland during the first half but in 57', Korea lost a goal to Lara Dickenmann who used a sharp free kick. Dickenmann is a veteran striker, currently playing in Wolfsburg, Germany.
Meanwhile, North Korea won Ireland 2-0 in the semi final, ranked 3rd followed by South Korea. South Korea will have a showdown with North Korea in the final preliminary match in the Women's Asian Cup which will be held in Pyeongyang, North Korea in April. "It's a little regretful but players showed excellent performances. The real match is coming in April. Let's get prepared completely for the rest of time for the April game," said Coach Yoon, encouraging the players.
Women's National Team returned to Korea on March 10th via Incheon International Airport.
