K League selected President Kwon Oh Gap unanimously

K League selected former President Kwon Oh Gap as the 11th President.

K League held a congress at KFA, which is located in Sinmunno, Jongno-gu, Seoul on the 24th morning and unanimously selected former President Kwon Oh Gap as the new president. President Kwon, who was appointed as the K League President 2013 will extend his term in the office for another four years and serve as the President until the next congress which will be held in early 2021.

On the congress, 22 delegates have participated excluding delegates from Seongnam FC and Gyeongnam FC out of 24 delegates (12 delegates from K League Classic Club, 10 delegates from K League Challenge Club and 2 board members of KFA). Delegates did not raise an objection to Kwon, the former President as the new President. During his terms of office, the former President Kwon was evaluated for having settled promotion and relegation as well as leading the league with a stability by engaging Hyundai Oil Bank, which he was the president, as the K League title sponsor.

K League invited new president when Shin Moonsun, the Professor at Myongji University who was the only candidacy has lost the President election at the completion of President Kwon's term of office. K League received registration of candidacy from the 4th until 10th but there was no candidacy registration. In the end, it selected the new president in a form of designation as per the Article 21, Clause 12 of the K League.
