Better known as 'Chabum', he is the incomparable footballer in the Korean football history. Since his debut in 1972 at the age of 19, he remained as the best striker in national football team squad until 1986 World Cup Mexico. His strength was speed and powerful shooting skills, and he capped 121 national team matches and scored 55 goals during his national team career. He also enjoyed 10-year playing career in German Bundesliga, capped 308 matches and scored 98 goals, winning the UEFA Cup in 1980 and 1988.

Brilliant close control, the ability to create chances and shoot accurately for his height(185cm) tells the story. When he was only 18, he was chosen as one of the best 11 player during the Cup. With him, Korean national team became the runner-up in the Cup in 1980 and 1988. He is also internationally renowned by his splendid goal against Italy during the 1986 World Cup Mexico.

A player with the nickname "Samson" referring to his long hair, boasted his fancy dribbling and penetrating skills. In 1985, he became a member of Korean national team at the age of 19 and had participated in 3 consecutive World Cups in 1986, 1990 and 1994. For three years in a row from 1988, he received the "Asian Player of the Year" award. In 1987, 1991 and 1997, he carried his team Busan Daewoo to win the K-league and in 1997 acclaiming himself the MVP of the season. He also played for Bochum in Germany for two seasons.

He is considered as the all time best defender of not only Korea but also in Asian. At the age of 21, he played as the starting defender of Korea national team at the 1990 Italy World Cup bringing hope to Korean football. Afterwards, he participated in 4 consecutive World Cups and in 2002 World Cup, he was the key player to take the Korea national team to semi-finals.. Until he retired in 2004, his A match record is 135 which is the most in Korean history. With his clever positioning and accurate long passing skills, he played for the Korean club, Pohang Steelers, as well as in Japan and U.S.A.

He became internationally famous for his extra time golden goal at the 2nd round match against Italy during the 2002 World Cup.
He is also famous for his beautiful dribbling and fainting skills as well as sharp shooting skills along with his good looks.
Ever since he received the Korea Professional League MVP in 1999 while playing for Busan Daewoo, he has maintained his position as a striker of Korea national team.
After he was discharged from Perugia of Italy for bringing defeat to Italy at the 2002 World Cup, he's been playing in Japan, France and Germany.

The former Manchester United star, also the most decorated Korean footballer in the 21st century made his national team debut at the age of 18 in the year of 1999. Park Jisung was known for his work rate which made him to be seen as if he is playing whole midfield. After 3 years at Kyoto Purple Sanga of J-league, he moved to PSV Eindhoven by his 2002 World Cup coach Guus Hiddink. Afterwards, the former Manchester United boss, Sir Alex Ferguson brought him to Old Trafford in 2005 and Park spent 7 years as a member of one of the world’s most famous football clubs. He announced his retirement from national football team in 2011 and returned to PSV in 2013. May 2014, he ended his professional career as a player.
